Michael and Una 2016- 2017
As a rule we don't write reviews or testimonials unless there is a compelling reason for doing so. In the case of 'Michael Murphy Landscaping' we felt this was a clear exception to that rule. We wanted to share our experience so that others might have a similar experience to ours and have a new garden that they can enjoy as much as we now enjoy ours.
We learned about Michael from his very informative website including the testimonials of others contained on the site. We felt, at a first glance, that the standard was very high and would not be easy to live up to. We were wrong; the man surpassed all of our expectations. We also came across samples of his work at the entrance to the Clonmel Garden Centre. Nothing like samples of the real thing to help you make up your mind. We recommend a visit there to any prospective customers of his. From our first meeting with Michael we quickly realised how passionate and informative he is about all things gardening. He listened, took extensive notes on what our ideas and expectations were, added a few of his own fresh ideas to the mix and went away to draw up a detailed schedule of works, complete with individual costings of the different stages involved.
Michael assured us that if any cost-saving measures could be employed through strategic planning along the way then that would lead to some savings on our part which, actually, turned out to be the case. The point being that there are no nasty or hidden surprises in terms of costs where this man is concerned. He reuses any old materials where possible and never purchases more materials for the job than needed, thus avoiding unnecessary waste. Michael's work ethic is second to none. In our view he is a "Jack of all trades" and a "Master of all trades"!

From the outset we knew from him that we would have to wait a number of weeks before he could begin the project such was the demand for his work at the time. And were we glad we waited! He delivered in spades if you'll pardon the pun. He is a man of his word; if he says he'll be with you on Monday week, then that's the day he'll arrive bright and early ready for action. In a nutshell: we cannot fault any aspect of Michael's work and would recommend him wholeheartedly. Employing Michael is a decision you will not regret.
