After years of trying to maintain the garden myself, I'd had enough; one part never saw sun, was mossy, full of weeds and when it rained, turned into a pond. I wanted a patio area, but the garden was an unusual shape. I also wanted more plants, but ones that would be easy to maintain. I contacted Michael with an idea of what I wanted, and he was able to recommend a design that best suited the size and shape of the garden and a planting scheme that would require minimal effort to look after. From the outset it was obvious that Michael had a vast knowledge for all things 'green', and I was able to see pictures of previous patios and stonework that he completed; I was happy that the garden was going to be in safe hands. After a few short consultations, the design, stonework choices and planting scheme was finalized.
Once the work started I was amazed at how much the garden was changing everyday and at how much work Michael was able to get through by himself. It was finished on time, with no mess, and, as I was kept fully informed of all costs, there was no surprise when I got the final bill.
I am thrilled with my garden now. Michael was able to maximize the size of the patio by building around existing large plants, moved smaller plants to where they would, and do grow better, created a raised bed on the other side of the garden and was able to incorporate a herb garden. He also gave plenty of hints and tips on how to look after all the plants. The planting, old and new, and the colours of the patio and stonework all blend perfectly.
I would highly recommend Michael for any upgrades you may be considering for your garden. My only regret that I did not contact him sooner!
